Deaven Golding
“You may not remember me but my name is Deaven Golding and I attended MAHEC summer camp my 7th and 8th grade years, around 2008-2010.
I am now currently a sophomore at Southwestern Community College and will be dual enrolled at Western Carolina University in the fall. I am taking general education at SCC and going to start my bachelor’s degree in nutrition at WCU. Once I achieve my bachelors degree, I plan to attend WCU’s doctor of physical therapy program.
I just wanted to say a big thank you for letting me attend MAHEC summer camp those two years in a row. That is when I realized I wanted to become a physical therapist, and now I’m pursuing that dream. That summer camp changed my life. I enjoyed that summer camp very much, it taught me a lot. I earned my CNA through Franklin High School to help pursue my dream in the medical field. So that gave me a little boost into college. I hope all is going well. Thank you again!”
