AHEC Digital Library Resources for ABPN MOC Part III Pilot Project
Did you know that American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) articles are easily accessible through the AHEC Digital Library?
Starting in 2019, the AHEC Digital Library (ADL) is providing access to MOC Part III Pilot Project articles for Maintenance of Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Until this MOC activity is approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties, diplomates who are eligible and volunteer receive 16 Self-Assessment CME credits for successful completion of the MOC Part III Pilot Project. This is a journal article assessment activity sponsored by the ABPN. The ABPN does not provide the full text of articles for this pilot. ADL offers ease of access to support practitioners as they prepare to take the exams based on these articles.
Now, instead of having to comb through journal issues (even electronically), physicians only need to go to the ABPN page in the ADL.
While some of the ABPN’s articles are freely available, this is not the case for every reading. Using the ADL’s list will allow readers to seamlessly access any articles included in the AHEC Digital Library’s journal subscriptions. For pay-only articles that are not included in these subscriptions, the ADL’s list connects users directly with the possible methods they can use to obtain a copy.
ABOG Readings Reminder
The AHEC Digital Library is beginning its fourth year of providing a central access point for articles for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology MOC. The ADL posts the ABOG list of readings for certification compliance in the months they are released: January, May, and August. The link to these readings is on the home page of the ADL at library.ncahec.net.
