As the Health IT Manager at NC AHEC, Mary McCaskill provides guidance and support to the practice support transformation coaches so that they can provide expertise and coaching on health IT topics pertinent to the practices NC AHEC serve. Mary manages program administration and deliverables for government funded projects, including the NC Medicaid EHR Incentive Program; the Quality Payment Program’s Small, Underserved & Rural Support (QPPSURS) Program; and the NC Healthconnex Utilization, Training and Data Integrity Program; among others.

Before joining NC AHEC, Mary worked in the health care field as a radiographer and PACS/RIS analyst. She has degrees in radiography, computer networking and administration, business administration, and philosophy. She combines this education with many years of frontline health care and IT experience to provide HIT project management, support, and guidance for the NC AHEC practice support coaches and the practices they serve.
