Joann L. Spaleta, FACHE, MBA, MHA, MT (ASCP), has accepted a position as assistant vice president of Charlotte AHEC at Carolinas HealthCare System.

Spaleta received her BS in medical technology from Western Carolina University and her master of business administration and master of health administration from Pfeiffer University.

She is a fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE) and currently serves as the president. Spaleta served as treasurer for two years and as president-elect for one year in the local chapter of ACHE, Greater Charlotte Healthcare Executives Group.

She is also a servant of the community, having served on the board at the University City YMCA as board chair for three years and as a member for seven years. Spaleta also serves as a mentor with the Carolinas HealthCare System’s women’s mentoring program.
